If you experience an Internet Security Warning when starting Outlook 2019, this post may help you. We will disable the incoming and outgoing encryption settings of your email account to fix the issue.
Internet Security Warning pops up with this message. The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified. You can click yes to continue using the server but then the security warning will not go.
It is likely that your email configuration is using POP account with no SSL encryption method by default. You have not added the email account using manual setting. In a result, Outlook 2016 have used the default setting. The default setting enabled the encryption method for incoming and outgoing mail.
How to remove Internet Security Warning
To remove the internet security warning in Outlook 2019 during startup. You have to uncheck the; This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS) under Incoming Mail settings.
Open Outlook > click File > Info > Account Settings > Email accounts > Select email account > click Repair > check; Let me repair my account manually > click Repair
From POP Account settings, uncheck the; This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS) under Incoming mail setting. You have to change the port number to 110 or your organization’s incoming port setting.
Click Outgoing mail below. Select None from Encryption method options. Click Next to continue and restart Outlook to see results.
If you are still receiving the same issue, you have to check all email accounts added in Outlook. Repeat the same process for all accounts.
